Ray Price is getting better. As promised, his wife Janie is offering an update on the country legend. She explains in a Facebook post that the doctor has "upgraded Ray's condition to 'good and improving daily.'"
She adds that Ray is "so much better" and is "alert and talking," but he'll have to remain in the hospital "for a few more days until his strength is better." Janie has also been reading the fans' messages to Ray. She says he appreciates everyone's thoughts and prayers, and is "moved" by all the love and concern people have for him.
While the 87-year-old Country Music Hall of Famer announced his hospitalization on Monday, Janie says Price was admitted last Thursday. She explains that his dehydration was cause by a medication he had to take for post-radiation syndrome.
While Janie doesn't directly link his current health setback to his cancer, the condition can be caused by cancer treatments. Price has pancreatic cancer. Earlier this year he said the disease was in remission.
